Perfugas

Perfugas is a small village of about 3000 inhabitants in the hinterland of Northern Sardinia.
In addition to main services, which are active all year round, it also hosts several sites of historical interest.
The whole area hosts in fact clear evidences of the presence of the Nuragic civilization in the territory.

The term “Nuraghe” indicates a stone construction with the shape of a cone, placed upside-down and without point, dating back to Nuragic age. Nuraghe is considered one of the symbols of the island: there are about 7,000 of them scattered throughout the island and since 1997 they are part of Unesco World Heritage Sites.

“Giants’ Tomb”, on the other hand, are ancient sepulchral monuments built for the burial of the dead. There are several legends around these monuments, one of which claims the name “Giants’ Tombs” comes from the finding of some huge bones inside one of them after their discovery. These tombs can be recognized by the large granite slabs placed side by side, as to create a single wall, an important part of their original structure.

Main beaches and tourist villages such as Valledoria, Castelsardo, Badesi […] are all in a distance of about 30km. The main ports and airports are located in Porto Torres (60km), Alghero (80km) and Olbia (90 km).
